Ryusei so far

Well, since my update thursday night (which i'm still a little sad about, but i'm getting over it slowly) quite a bit has happened.

Well as i said (though i'm not sure if i posted this thursday night) i put in new batteries and rehatched Ryusei right after it happened, and after a hour in his needy shirobabitchi form he changed into tonmarutchi and before heading off to bed he got his first discipline. All day friday was spent caring for the little guy and keeping a ear out for his disciplines. He got his second around 4pm and the other after 9pm, i wasn't home at these times so i don't have the exact times but eh... who needs to know the exact times anyways?

Right after i got home around 10pm i noticed Ryusei was sick so i gave him two shots of medication to make him all better. Today started out like normal, i spent most of it waiting for his last discipline and for him to change. He went on a walk with me to drop off something at the mailbox near my house (Hi Sabaith) and right as i got home he asked for his final discipline.

Before i finish this blog though i have to post some enw images of him i took with my dads camera.

There's Ryusei as a Tonmarutchi^-^

And there he is now, so yes he did change into a Tongaritchi^-^ The change happened a little after 3pm which like last time was a hour before he pooped... just like the first time i hatched him. Thats whats happened so far, he has yet to get a discipline since his change but it should happen either before i go to sleep tonight or tomorrow sometime.

days 11, 12 and 13

Well i'm kinda sad today and it all has to do with the last 3 days. I noticed that after ryusei got sick on sunday that he needed to be fed and played with more and more, losing as much as 2 hearts in both hunger and happiness every 30 mins or so. Well i figured he'd be fine and would live on like this for a week or more before getting sick again... mind you this was on monday i thought this.

Yesterday he was dropping a heart every 15 to 20 mins, just in the time it took me to eat diner (all of 25 mins) he had emptied a total of 5 hearts... this definitely wasn't a good sign at all. Well now my thoughts of him living to see the 4th of July are all but shattered after what happened about 30 mins ago.

I was out doing my usual stuff (watering plants), i left ryusei sitting on the table so 1. he wouldn't be in the hot sun and 2. wouldn't get wet. After 45 mins of watering i went to check on him to find him sick again... my poor little mimitchi is going to leave me so fast and even though i don't want him to i know that there is nothing i can do to stop it from happening. He's 13 yrs old today and i fear he won't live to see the age of 20, let alone the ages my other tama's have lived for (my old gen2 named webster could live to the age of 36 easily).

My fear is that all the extra time i've kept him up has added up and has taken at least 8 or more days away from him, so after he dies i won't be doing that again. I'll let him sleep while i do stuff at night and just care for him while he awake... might make him age and grow slower but i'll have him longer next time.

These were taken with my dads digital camera so they much clearer than the ones i took on the 20th. Well here's hoping my next blog post isn't that he died, though if it is i'll make sure to get a pic of his little ghosty self before i reset him.

Edit 10:21pm: Well, i sit here, a little depressed, after something bad happened. I was on the chatroom on tamatalk (join if you haven't already) when i looked down to see a blank screen on ryusei... His batteries had died on him and there was nothing i could do to stop it (there wasn't enough power to make a beep noise when i hit the buttons). So i unscrewed his batter case, threw out the old batteries and popped in a new pair.

So now as it stands he's back to being a tonmarutchi and is floating around all cute again on the screen. My hopes now is that i can get mimitchi back on him by wensday so he'll be around for the 4th of july.

Days 9 and 10

Sunday started off like ususal, we got up at 9am i turned my pc on along with the dish to watch dc nation on cartoon network (young justice is awesome). After my folks got up we had breakfast then i went back onto my pc.

While chatting on tamatalk with a friend who was looking at getting a osu/mesu pair (hi triforceman) and saying how expensive they would cost i descided to send him the link to jason's store on ebay and within a few min he bought a pair and it got me wanting to get a few new tama's myself... so i promptly asked my mom about geting a angelgotchi and possibly a morino, she told me some things i can do around the house to earn the money and that i'd have to wait till after the 4th of july to get them but indeed i will be getting a angelgotchi and possibly a morino in the next 2 weeks^-^

So i started doing some of the stuff by watering the garden for her and durring this time Ryusei got sick... at the age of 9. Guess all the extra time he's stayed awake is adding up now because of that and now i'm worried he won't be sticking around as long as i hoped, but we will have to see about that.

Around 3pm my sis showed up and asked if i wanted to go to the beach with her and i said sure since with the 90 degree heat we've been having i wasn't getting out nearly as much as i wanted, so i grabbed ryusei since i sure as heck wasn't gonna leave him alone while i went. About 20 minutes later we arrived at central beach which is further away than washington park beach from my house, i took my shoes and socks off and we walked to the waters edge... mind you since neither of us brought swimming suits we only planned on getting out feet wet and thats just what we did.

Ryusei got to experience the nice dry breeze there and the wonderful smell that came with it (it's more humid near my our), durring the few hours we were there i did notice him emptying hearts a bit faster than he did the day before but wasn't worried at all and still filled them after he only lost 1 heart each.

After getting home we spent the rest of the night chatting with friends online (tamatalk chat is fun) untill 1am hit when we finally descided to get some sleep.

Today started out like always except for one thing, we ended up watching a movie instead of listening to music... we watched Ghost Rider 2 and it was an awesome movie, far better than the first one and i think ryusei enjoyed it. Afterwards we listened to music and he watched me play some games online and since we had comfortable 70 degree temps today went out for a couple walks. It was nice too, clear sky's with a nice cooling breeze blowing through.

He was with me while i watered the garden again and while i took my parent's dogs for a walk. He's definitly showing signs of his age though, he empties a heart every 30 to 45 mins now compaired to the hour before he got sick, my fear is he'll leave before july 4th but i hope he'll get to experience his first holiday with me before he takes off back to his planet.

Days 7 and 8

The last 2 days have been wonderful, we went from having temps in the high 90's with near 80% humidity to the mid to low 70's with little to no humidity^-^ So to take advantage of this i've been taking Ryusei for nice long walks, he's been with me to both malls, seen the library and even visited a few friends of mine along with going to the beach again.

We've been doing alot of web surfing (i'm working on re-doing my old tamagotchi and virtual pet site) in his little cradle turned around so he can see the screen, we've been listening to more music on my mp3 player, he's seen about 20 or more episodes of Bleach with me (all recorded on the dvr) which in the last few days is all the tv watching i've done at all!

He's been with me also as i've been going to the chatroom on tamatalk almost everyday for hours on end (hi TicTax, Jasen221, xxKuchipatchixx, It's Teri (behold her Fabulousness!) and everyone else i chat with on there). The room can be dead at times and other times it's so chaotic i have no choice but to leave or sit till thing die down... and lots of rping goes on in there.. it's really alot of fun.

As i've stated in my logs there I am not use to having such a un-needy tamagotchi going, Ryusei only seems to empty 1 heart for both hunger and happiness every hour or so but i still check on him every 20 mins it seems. Guess i got too use to my music star (which seemed to empty a heart every 15 mins or so) after so many years of caring for it... does that mean i'll be starting it up too? Nope, i'm happy giving Ryusei my full attention 100% of the time and enjoy everything he does.

Day 6

Today has been very relaxing, Ryusei got up at 9am as usual but i was already up and on my pc. I'm not use to how little care he needs with him only emptying a heart in hunger and happiness every hour or so, or at least to all the other tama's i've been caring for for the last few years (all connection versions).

He's quite a joy to care for though, the grin on his little face when he poops is adorable^-^ Mainly today he's listened to some good music and watched a few shows i recorded on the dvr, this afternoon while it was raining i read logs off of Tamagotchi Planet and The Mouse House Tamagotchi Page to ryusei.

Other than that we've just been relaxing... though i am looking to get a japanese gen1 to keep him company (and to make for a bit more exciting blog).

Days 4 and 5 so far

Well, the yesterday was fun. I woke up at the usual 9am and checked on Ryusei who seemed fine, made some coffee and turned on my pc. Around 10:30am a good friend of mine from south bend called and i ended up going out to his place for the night to hang, of course i brought ryusei with me and for good reason (but i'll get to that in a bit).

He showed up around noon and we were off to his place, ryusei got to see some of the country side here in indiana on the drive alonge with listening to more great music and the rather funny conversation we had on the drive. By 2pm or so we arrived at his place ryusei asked for his last discipline making his bar full and me very happy^-^

At 5pm we made diner (bacon honey bbq cheddar burgers) and durring this time ryusei got sick and took a poo, which ment anytime in the next 12 hours he would be changing into his adult form. We ending up watching 2 movies before heading off to bed that night (the women in black and mission impossible ghost protocol) but even after ryusei took 3 more poops he still didn't change that night.

This morning started at 8:30am so i woke ryusei up early since i knew that in the next few hours he would be changing, arounds 10:30am while working on some sudoku puzzles i heard the familiar changing tune and when i looked down this is what i saw (and yes i took pictures^-^):

There are the other pics i took as well, i'm such a proud tamagotchi caretaker for getting a mimitchi on my first try after years of caring for none of these older tamagotchi's and plan on having him around for many days to come.

Day 3 with Ryusei

Today was a usual day for a tamagotchi in my house. We got up at 9am, i started up my pc and made a pot of coffee then started up my mp3 player so we could listen to music while surfing the net.

I showed ryusei some of my favorite tamagotchi site (tamagotchi planet, mouse house tamagotchi page, pixilated, tinkerville, tamenagerie and tamagotchi.de), watched some funny videos on youtube and he's watched me play a fun rpg online called Arkandian Legends chapters 1 and 2 but i'm working on the achievments for chapter 1 to unlock some extra stuff in chapter 2.

I would of taken little ryusei for a few walks today but with the near 100 degree heat and humidity over 70 i didn't want to get out at all, but having him with me made the day a bit more bearable^-^ While we were watching a few episodes of adventure time (i love this show) he asked for his first discipline since he changed yesterday bringing his bar to 75%.

Days 1 and 2

Welcome to "The Adventures with Ryusei" blog, this blog will be all about the new Japanese Series 1 Gen2 tamagotchi I bought off ebay which arrived Yesterday!

He arrived at 10:30am when the mail showed up and i quickly opened the package, pulled out the tab strip and hit the reset button. I set the clock to 7:50am and off i went, i only set the clock to that specific time so he'd stay up way past his bedtime of 8pm.

This is what little Ryusei's egg looks like, it's a nice color combination and i'm glad i bought it when i did. Well after 5 minutes he hatched into a shirobabitchi:

I made sure to take perfect care of him in the stage since was very needy and needed much attention for the first hour and 5 minutes of his life. I fed him and played games with him up till he went to bed, after waking up he got sick and soon after that changed into a tonmarutchi:

After he changed he became much easier to care for, requiring much less care than his shirobabitchi stage, and after 5 years of not having a original tamagotchi i was overjoyed to care for him. He spent much of the day listening to music, watching tv and surfing the net in one of my custom cradles i made years ago (i managed to find one after all these years too!).

 At 2pm he beeped letting me know that he needed his first discipline which i was glad to give him, he got another at 4:57pm and 9:45pm bringing his bar to 75%. After that we watched a episode of Bleach on Toonami before going to sleep.

Today started off at 9am, Ryusei was quiet all day and spent most of the day listening to music and watching me surf the net. At 2pm i looked down to see he was sick and promptly gave him two shots to make him better. At this time he had yet to ask for his last discipline but i wasn't worried about it, around 5pm he watched me wash my moms car before we ate supper which right as i was making my burger he beeped for his last discipline followed by taking a poo... which was his second since getting sick (and from past experiences tamagotchi's always change right before there 3rd poop after getting sick).

After diner i decided to take him on a walk to show him my home town, we were gone for almost 2 hours durring this walk but got home in time to watch the new episode of Mythbusters. At 8:30pm i heard the familiar changing tune and looked just in time to se him change into tongaritchi:

 Isn't he cute? Well after his change his discipline bar dropped to 50% so over the next few days i'll have to bring it back up.
